Esteban Seunarine is a drummer, composer, and educator whose work has made him a dynamic presence in Canada’s creative music scene. Merging groove-driven rhythms, global influences, and fearless improvisation, Esteban’s music embodies both technical mastery and bold experimentation. Based in Winnipeg and a Brandon University’s Jazz Performance program graduate, he creates innovative soundscapes rooted in unconventional rhythms and melodies.

Esteban has performed with Grammy-winning artists and Juno-nominated musicians, toured across Canada, contributed to film scores and theatrical productions, and recorded for projects spanning North and South America. His debut album, What Blossoms from Bloodshed? (early 2025), explores the cyclical nature of violence and war in human history, focusing on themes of destruction, resilience, and renewal.

Influenced by drumming icons such as Eric Platz, Tommy Crane, and Francesco Ciniglio, Esteban’s music blends technical precision with emotional depth. His creative approach continually pushes the boundaries of contemporary jazz and improvisation, making him a compelling and singular voice in today’s music landscape.
